The ending felt a bit ve,ocity.
Also, as more murders are committed, he realizes that he might endanger Barbara’s life. Bailey rated it really liked it. And the most interesting moments, the revelatory or exploratory ones, the ones dealing with the human condition and the hearts of men, were reduced to one or two short, ultimately inadequate sentences. I had thought of him as a sort of lesser version of Stephen King–pulpy and popular. He manages to catch up with Zillis before he can kill Barbara, and after driving him out into the country, kills Zillis.
I’m usually pretty good at guessing who the villain is, but Koontz managed to keep me in suspense till almost the very end.

Eliot and Hemingway does not make a book smart. Unbound Worlds Exploring the science fiction and fantasy universe. However, this did not detract too much from my enjoyment.

As the game plods along, he starts including people who are close to Billy or at least could be people close to him, as the descriptions of the victims are always vague enough not to point to anyone in particular as potential victims, and our intrepid bartender has to use every shred of cunning and resourcefulness he can muster to rise to the challenge; to reveal the identity of this vicious bastard and kick his ass.
Be careful what you wish for. Wiles has very clear reasons for not involving the police.
But that is about to change. This is why I enjoy this author so much.

A joontz fast tempo. Bill had to frantically search, find, and get it out. The book has many short chapters, which I prefer over few long chapters I was frustrated, afraid, and felt hopeless watching Bill being threatened and manip I like suspense and danger but not this type of suspense and danger. Books by Dean Koontz. The book was suspenseful and gripping. After his friend’s murder, Billy finds that the cunning killer has gained access to every aspect of his life as the ultimatums grow increasingly more personal.
The pace of the story is perfect, the sub plots nicely entwined, as well as necessary, to the character that is Billy while the ending is done very well with the almost obligatory twist, although in this case better than most.
There will be more communications from velpcity killer, more hideous choices, with ever tighter decision times, and with each choice Billy is drawn deeper into an accelerating nightmare, which steadily becomes more personal, more confrontational, until he is isolated, with no one to turn to and no one to rely on but himself. However, it was handled very well and left your imagination to deal with the possibilities.
